Rare NEC PC Engine LT sighted

The PC Engine LT is essentially the Laptop version of NEC's PC Engine/Turbo Grafx 16 console, that's only marginally smaller than its non-portable siblings. The console was released in 1992, sported a still impressive 4" LCD screen, a TV tuner that worked only in Japan and was connectible both to the PC Engine CD and other external sources (think DVD players and game consoles). Without doubt the top console of the PC Engine line and one that sort of flopped due to its extreme price.

Today the LT is even more expensive, rarer and thus immensely collectible, occasionally going for more than a couple thousand dollars. Obviously it still is an excellent video gaming console that's fully compatible with the PC Engine and can provide hours of Bonk, Alien Crush and shmup fun. Find out more here and here.

To own your own (heh), try your luck at a certain boxed NEC PC Engine LT eBay auction. Seller ships worldwide.
